Can any one tell me how the out board side of the front passenger seat is supported on the m38a1 on my g.p.w. there is a shaped sheet metal that the frame rests on but on the a1 there is nothing I can see unless something is missing.? |

There is a little shelf-like bracket on my M38s but not on my M38A1. The cross piece of the seat rests directly on the inner fender.

Hey Wingnut there is a bracket attached to the side of the tub. It lets the horizontal seat bar rest on it . The is also a spring clip attached to the bracket that holds the seat down. But mine is a71 a1 CDN |

Thank you every one for your help as mine is a 53 A1 it is correct as is so I may glue a small rubber pad to the rear wheel house to protect the paint. |
