Have an original M38 cowl battery box for trade. This box was cut out of the cowl of an M38 body. There are some issues but it can certainly be repaired, see the photos for condition. Also included are the lid and bracket.

Wanted an M series light switch, Joseph Pollak Corp. No AR-5, Ordance No 7355600, photos below...

Do you still have this battery box? If so, willing to sell it outright without trade for the switch?

Sorry for the delayed reply. Currently I only want to trade for the switch.
Thanks

Hi Bob,

Are you aware that switch was the early Bendix style first then Pollock came along right after Bendix introduced the single plug version to replace it's original 2 plug version? Must you have a Pollock to trade for the box or can it be a single angled plug Pollack or Bendix-Scintilla?

I really prefer a Pollock. 2 reasons. I'd like to keep everything the same as it was when I purchased the Jeep. The more switches I have increases the chances of being able to repair one of them.

I probably have 5 or 6 of those switches, all busted.
Except for one good one, the rest all have a broken internal plastic rotor.

My sense is that many of these switches suffered from the same heavy-handed operators who don't know how to properly operate the 3-lever switch.

One of these days I'll get busy and find one of them new-fangled 3D computer printing fabricators to make me some out of Delrin.

Hopefully I won't have to make 1000 to keep the price reasonable.
