This very useful TM is currently on Ebay as buy it now $20. This is what you must have when you want to repair or overhaul the original Auto-Lite distributor, generator, starter, regulator and more.

It's not my auaction.

Would this be the right manual for 24 volt equipment?

Yep. That is why I posted here and pointed out it covers the original M38 Auto-Lite equipment.

For those of you still looking for a copy of TM 9-1825B keep in mind that the first edition 1944 does not cover the 24 volt stuff of the 50's. The edition you want is the 1952 edition.

Wes, will this manual be ok for my 1962 M38A1?
Somebody who has bought one of these, is it really an ORIGINAL? And the printing date?

Yes for the AutoLite equipment only. A lot of the very late A1's had Delco stuff and the transistorized regulators which were manufactured by several companies. The Delco stuff has it's own TM 9-8627. I have not been able to locate any tech data on the transistorized 24 volt/25 Amp regulators.

The civvy Delco manuals do a very good job of covering the Military 24 volt units as well.

Thanks, Wes! As always, you are a wealth of precise info.
I´ll buy one, my M38A1 has both Autolite and Prestolite electrical components.
Thanks once again, Gaston
