The motor started right up and ran fine the day I bought the Jeep for the little bit that I drove it. I had planned to rebuild it anyway so all I wanted to do was get it on my trailer. But after I got it home I couldn't help starting it up again and driving it around the neighborhood a little. Everything seemed okay, but I would still go through the motor, transmission and transfer case if I was going to use it for a project.
I mentioned that it last ran on July 4th so a potential buyer would know that it wasn't frozen up or had a thrown rod or something. I didn't want to imply that it was something that could be dropped in a chassis and used "as is" - although it might.
I bought the Jeep for parts and have gotten more than I had hoped for out of it.

Hey,
do you have the serial number, contract number, etc. on the parts jeep?
We do have a data base we are collecting to help fill in factory data.
