The motor started right up and ran fine the day I bought the Jeep for the little bit that I drove it. I had planned to rebuild it anyway so all I wanted to do was get it on my trailer. But after I got it home I couldn't help starting it up again and driving it around the neighborhood a little. Everything seemed okay, but I would still go through the motor, transmission and transfer case if I was going to use it for a project.

I mentioned that it last ran on July 4th so a potential buyer would know that it wasn't frozen up or had a thrown rod or something. I didn't want to imply that it was something that could be dropped in a chassis and used "as is" - although it might.

I bought the Jeep for parts and have gotten more than I had hoped for out of it.

Hey,

do you have the serial number, contract number, etc. on the parts jeep?

We do have a data base we are collecting to help fill in factory data.

Cool

Here's an early dash serial plate with the year only. The contract number is in the left lower corner.

Here's a later (June 1951) plate.

Here's an April 1952 plate.

I've reduced the prices on these items.

The motor is now also on Ebay.
