Well,
I painted my hood, fenders and grille last week. I am going to install them in the next month when I get some time. While I had my M38 out I decided to take a couple of photos.
It was cloudy that day so the paint looks a little darker than it normally does.
Here is a couple, there are more in my gallery on page 3.

Wes do you have any pics of your jeep?
My strata blue seems darker than what most are using, however is matches really closely to the paint that was on the jeep in limited fadeing areas, and on the underside of the body
Looks too good, another trailer queen in the making... Need to scratch that paint up and hit it with a hammer or two to make it look like a real jeep...

Great pictures. I am not experienced with photography but would like to know how hard it is to clip out the background like you did. It really brings out the jeep.
I started out to just fix her up a bit as about everything was worn out. The more I dug into originality, the deeper I got. Then I ran into Ben Daugherty and really got into original parts, etc.
I would not recomend it as the path to follow as I have spent more time finding out what is original and then looking for the parts than I have in restoring my jeep. However, for me it has been a fun chase, a challenge and a great diversion to keep me occupied for the last 6 years.
I put the exhaust extension on the jeep for now and a couple of other subtle items that can be easily taken off/ replaced for the original parts.
On the photos, I used a huge white sheet that I had my wife and father hold up in the background and then photoshoped it out. It is better if pictures are taken on a partly cloudy day, this day was mostly cloudy and made things a little dark, but it helps to reduce the glare and shadows. _________________ Ryan Miller
