Keep in mind early (thru SN MC35387) two wire holes and late (after SN MC35387) one wire hole. _________________ Wes K

Thanks Wes, that sheds some light on a question I have been pondering for a while. I have a M38 that has no data tags but seems to be an early one by the bits and pieces of information that I have been gathering. It has two holes in the plate. My new wiring harness for my other newer M38,only had one group of wires exiting through the fire wall. I thought my new harness perhaps had been made wrong, because the harness on the older jeep had two groups of wires. SO,maybe this confuses some , but it answers some questions for me.
PS, anyone have a late M38 firewall cover ?
Thanks again Wes , your knowledge of these things phenomenall
The plate change coincides with the change from the 1st series Bendix main light switch which had a completely seperate trailer receptacle harness and connector on it. This trailer receptacle harness ran through the second hole and all the way back to the rear of the jeep. The second series Bendix main light switch was shaped the same but only had the main connector and no seperate trailer receptacle harness. The only difference between the two plates is the extra hole. _________________ Wes K
