I am interested in putting the underwater ventilation system on my M-38 back in working order but both Beechwood Canvas and Peter Debella do not have the parts on hand. I need the Ventilation control valve # 7372752 and all of the lines. I also am looking for the platform that sits on the frame on which the engine compartment battery sits (support, batter w/brace - # 7347736) and the voltage regulator bracket that mounts on the frame (support, mounting [generator voltage regulator] # 7375364). Any Suggestions?

By the way, I have posted some photos on the Photo Gallery (Steve H).

Thanks

Steve,

Are you looking for a factory or motorpool restoration; factory all parts as they would be from the factory, motorpool substitute parts are allowed. I ask so as to direct you in the correct direction.

As for the tubes for the underwater vent system, go to NAPA and buy lengths of 3/16" steel brake lines, with a tubing bender and a little patience you can make your own lines very easily... There are two lines that need to be 3/16" copper; they both go to/from the distributor. On a motorpool restoration the fuel tank vent would be 3/16" copper also.

Most of the fittings can be found, there are a couple that are hard to find...

I cannot help with the battery support, however if you have access to a welder I have the plans for the voltage regulator bracket, very easy to make out of 1/8"x1" bar stock. An Oxy/Acetyne setup would help with bending the metal...

Finally the valve you need, is that the 3/16" ball check valve, I looked in the SNL and I think it is. PM Remi_Edmond here on the board, He had some of those available... (look under For Sale/Check Valve...

If you need the copper lnes PM me and I can hook you up with those, I make them to supppliment my jeep hobby. (For Sale/Copper Vent Lines...)

Hope this helps...
