Rick, Any manufacturer's markings or place of origin markings on any of the four?

The set on the left (points and cond) are marked Blue Streak with part# no place of origin. No markings at all on the rt Napa set..

Thanks Rick. We can assume the set on the right are off shore sourced.

I checked with Blue Streak and the set on the left is made in Mexico.

The boxes for the rt (napa-echin) set are marked made in mexico. I'm told Napa-Echlin owns Standard Motor Prods and Bluestreak brands now as well- I guess we'll see where that goes..

So not to leave this thread open..

My 12V CJ3A project (frame off, up on stands) has the same Napa-Echiln points and condenser as my M38 posted with the original problem. With 4-5 hrs shop runtime on the project 3A L134 there is slight pitting of the points. I would not expect that with the limited run time.

I have sh!tcanned the suspect Napa points and condenser on the 24V M38, installed the Blue streak points and condenser and have put a few miles on the 24V M38 OD Mule. Will check the Blue streak parts for condition after 100 miles or so..
