That is the early F134 castingfrom 1950 thru about 1953/4. The C4C prefix is one I am not familliar with. The 4F, 4FR, 4J, R4J, serial prefix would have been that casting installed in a CJ3B or CJ5. I think I recall the C prefix is for Commercial/Industrial Application engines IE Generator's and Pumps. _________________ Wes K

That could easily be possible Wes. This engine was not original to the Jeep being a F-Head in a M38. I sourced an L-Head a couple of years back which is why i'm selling this one now. _________________ 1951 M38 MC36159
