I know this isn't a M jeep thing.... but it is a winch that is going on an M jeep.

I can't find a rebuild manual for this winch anywhere so from your combined experience can you tell me if; I can reverse the position of the engaugement lever. It looks like I should be able to remove the handle and then reverse the pin so the handle is on the front of the winch. My problem is that the lever will be against the grill in its present position.

Thanks,
Dave

Thank you Timrod and Wes,
that mypics is quiet a resource for info. I've spent most of this evening reviewing it, all very interesting.
Timrod, it's while since looked at the winch frame, I remember I cut the top horizontals as they were for the M38/A1 it came off (an export model) where the winch frame mounting bolts went vertically down into welded in nuts in the top flat channel of the front chassis. How did you make the brackets for the frame to fit, I seem to remember that this winch will fit between the rails but the frame won't.
Any chance of a picture? please...
Thanks,
Dave.
