Hi folks, got my engine apart for overhaul and found the cam within spec but the block worn outside spec on the rear 3 bores up to .010" oil clearence. Wes mentioned in a recent topic that late small block ford cam bearings had been modified and used by some folks. I know lineboring will be required, are they the bearings from the Modular engine? Can anyone go into more detail about machine fits and modifications required? I have found around here that the engine machine shops can do good work but must be coaxed unless you want a high performance 350 chev. This winter I intend to restore this engine, trans, transfercase and then install an overdrive and take the jeep on a long trip this summer for vacation. Any advice is welcome. Thanks Mike.
