does anyone know of a vendor that sells correct original 1/4-20 screws that were used on the M38 floors?
I have packets of P/N 674927 screw,hex hd w/lockwasher packaged in June 1953.
I ordered some of Johns from MWM and they turned out to be repros with washers that are not even close to the correct size.

bolts
I have some packaged marked 674927 G758-8328466 that are 1/2 inch rather than 5/8. Other than length they will work great.
Hopefully I can clean up some that have been saved through the years.
Here is something that might be close but is way too expensive:
indented head
big lock washer - but it might not be a lock washer, it may be a flange instead.
the down side is: 7/8 inch length & way too expensive

My bolts are NOT repro. They are NOS, and I have an original box of NOS bolts in cosmo that are the same size washer. Now, I do acknowledge that the washers are larger on the jeep, but the gov't allowed a change to the spec for that part number and the bolts we have are correct. If I knew how to post a picture here, I would show the cosmo one and the ones you got.

Repos would not be packaged in a package marked "674927 G758-8328466".
A later spec issue for ORD Stk # G758-8328466 by another vendor would not include the Willys # 674927 unless Willys approved the spec change.
John, You post photos here the same as the G503. If you still can't get your photos up just email them to me. What are the markings on your NOS packages?
Tom, can you post photos of your early bolts and their package?
If the spec did change then NOS pieces of either would be ok on a motor pool class and the early only on factory class unless it can be shown that the later units entered in Willys production and are shown on the Willys drawings.

Bolts
Hi Wes,
I may have added confusion in the way I wrote my post.
For clarification:
I own two boxes of G758-8328466 WO674927. Each box contains 20 screws that are 1/4-40x1/2" with a 5/8" internal tooth lock washer. The indented hex head has an "S" inside concentric circles.
These Willys boxed screws are very similar to originals that I removed from my '52. The originals are 5/8" long and have an "E" headmark.
The NOS replacements I am hoping to find would look like originals. I appreciate John's clarification that his offerings are an authorized replacement that differ slightly from the factory originals in that they have a 1/2" diameter lockwasher and no headmark and were not supplied in any labeled packaging.
