I wish I had a better camera taking this picture, because it makes the paint look awful from some truly poor lighting.
But anywho, I started with this.
(appears to be high because the previous owner mounted the lunette upside down)
(because of repairs like these, the frame was over 3" Out of square! -- One side was 3" longer than the other!)
Machined my own pivot bushings.

It was an insane amount of work, I had no idea upon purchasing it it was this awful. That, and the previous owner was stretching the repairs he did to it. For example, he stated that he had the wheels sandblasted and painted. He was right, but it looks like just one layer of OD - there certainly was no primer or prep, and as such, it came off fairly quickly. He also mentioned new wheel bearings, but, the only thing new in the spindle was the grease.
In retrospect, I probably wouldn't of bought it knowing what I know now. Then again, I had no way of knowing some of the major flaws (ex 3" out of square) without disassembling it. It was a ton of work.
The paint on the outside of the tub for the most part looks really good. Inside is a different story. I think since I was spraying it, all of this overspray was shooting and flying around -- and it appears as if some of it stuck to the metal and formed a sort of rough surface. A lot of it looks good, but there are certain areas, mostly corners, that gave me issues.
I towed it around for the first time last night.
