Distributor Vent Line Dia

Post by whydahdvr »

I've been looking through my ORD-9 and other sources and am trying to verify the correct diameter vent line for the vacuum system that I need to manufacture. I have the rubber hoses for the wiper vent system and the metal lines on the outside of the body but need to know the correct diameter for the vacuum system under the hood. Thanks.

The vent lines are 3/16"... same size as the brakelines...

Use copper for the two lines to the distributor, this will allow you to move it...

Lengths and such are in the SNL unde Underwater vent lines or go to the for sale page and look up my posting for Copper Vent Lines... all the part numbers and such are there...

Hope this helps...

Thanks! Ryan clued me in on the 3/16 and copper is good idea, I'm used to using it and can solder it easily.
I had found the 3/16 information in my ORD-9 but right under it was another line assembly listing 1/4 and I wasn't entirely sure which referred to what.

All fittings are made inverted flares, no soldering required or should not be used...

Hope this helps...

Thanks on the fitting info. Yes, I had that noted and was thinking if I had a break in a line or wanted somthing. I do a lot of replumbing in my house and my parents so end up fitting a lot of copper pipe.
