Mashed Head Gasket

I have no idea how someong could do this when putting a motor together....well can guess. I tried to get the image on my album.

That gasket may not have been damaged during assembly. It may well have resulted from a warping of the head or loosening of the head bolts later that may have blown it out. It's appearance certainly resembles a lot of blown gaskets I have seen in the past.
