M38 vs. M38A1 Body Panels

Post by ocwd »

My M38 needs some body panels. My buddy has an M38A1 tub that is in bad shape but has some good panels on it. Are the rear corners the same between M38 and A1? I really only need the radius of the corners and maybe some material on either side. I also need the panels behind the driver and passenger seats. Are these two panels the same? I only ask because the tub is in Arizona and I am in California. I don't want to drag the tub out here if the panels won't help me.

They body panels are different enough that you would not be ablet to use them on an M38 tub.

Jeep Panels plus - google them on the internet makes panels for the M38 and M38A1.

Well, I guess I could still use some of the sheet metal from the M38A1 tub as patch material.

M38A1 Tub

I don't think it's a good tub. I have not seen it yet but my buddy was going to cut it up for parts. I'll post some pictures of it on the for sale forum if I get a chance. My buddy was going to sell off hunks of it any way.
