Early m38 bellhousing info

I have a bad felling that my bellhousing is not original and I want to make sure it is the correct one. How do I identify it to make sure it is correct? I have a 1951 m38 mfr ser #34911 belived to be the early m38?Thanks,Keith Wauchula, FL

that was exactly what i was looking for. after reading and looking at the pics i went out and checked my bellhousing and I do have the correct one!
