Block casting number

I finally got enough gunk off my block to read my casting number. It's 806279-W-13-D-AR CU CR. So does that look right...make sense....or tell anybody anything? Or did I just make a nice clean shiney spot on my engine for nuttin? And also....were these power plants ever painted completely gold? Everything on this one is gold.....engine block....bell housing.....transmission.....and transfer case. Again....I don't know if that means anything or not.....but it sure is puuuurty. Thanks.

The block casting number on my engine is exactly the same as yours.

806279 = Willys drawing number for the block which in this case is a later F134. . The serial number above the water pump will ascertain what model chassis the engine was originally installed in by Willys.
-W-13-D = foundry data
-AR CU CR = Block metallurgy

I've seen a lot of rebuilds that were painted gold or copper colored but most rebuilds I've seen were painted red.

A civvy block would have been black and a military block OD from Willys.
