Deep water fording?

what did they do with the radiator fan blades if anything? It seems like it would rob alot of power and numerous other problems.

On the WWII jeeps they had a quick release brace for the generator. They probably realize the loss of power while only moving at 3 to 5 MPOH was not a big issue.
