MB - Hand Crank

I'm looking for some closeup pictures of the end of a hand crank that fits a Willys MB engine so I can reproduce one.
I have a couple old Hobart welders that are Willys powered and I'd like to be able to crank start them for nostalgia.

Close to a week & no takers huh? ..no worry, I found what I needed.

Here's a link below to a picture of an original Willys crank.
That's about what I was figuring the end would look like.
The angle cut in the end is shaped to force the crank out away from the engine when it fires. My application won't require it to be so long.
This will be easy to duplicate in my shop, I'll make one this week and post a picture if anyone is interested.

No problem making a sturdy hand crank today, I used the lug wrench from a 95 f-250, trimmed it down & made the proper bends, then machined the hub out of an old 13/16 1/2" drive impact socket, once that was sized properly I cross drilled the end to fit the crank pin and then shaped the kicker with a die grinder using a 3/8 dia cylindrical grinding bit.
Tested it out & works a treat starting the old Hobart's.
40+ years ago I used to start my fathers Lincoln welder.
Hand cranking the Willys today brought back fond memories of a time long since past.

Great job on the welder Doug. I have a couple of Jeep powered generators that I hope turn out half as nice if I ever get around to restoring them.

I didn't know anyone made Willys powered generators?
How big in kva are they? Would you post some pictures & model information or email to me?
I'd like to see what they look like and then if possible hunt one down especially if they are 5 or 6k or bigger.
A Willys powered generator sounds like a fun project & would be a useful tool to have around.

Hi Doug
Here is the first one. It is actually 24V and was used by DeHavilland Aircraft at Downsview in Toronto. It was used for starting aircraft I would assume. It has 9 inch tires and if anyone knows a source I would appreciate it. The voltmeter goes up to 50V.

Doug, here is the gauge panel for that one. It has been sitting outside for years and since I got it I have been soaking the hinges. Today was the first time I was able to get the doors open.

Doug, here is the last one for today. I will get you the specs on this one another day. I have 2 like this one but the other one doesn't have the generator.

You and I only live about 2 1/2 hours from each other.
