Is there still a source of NOS M38 data plates (full set on plate) out there? They had been available from time to time.

Yep they are still out there. I caution most folks that usually only the -630 contract number version of the serial plate is around. The contract numbers, layout and stock/part numbers vari from plate to plate so if you want accuaracy you'll need to shop for a left over NOS serial plate with right stuff on it. Joel Gopan always had a few NOS for different contracts as did Ken Perkins.
