Packing Installed around an M38A1 Fuel Tank
Hello, I have removed the fuel tank from an M38A1 jeep. It was previously cushioned on the ends, one side & the bottom with burlap. Would anyone who has replaced a tank kindly let me know what material they used? I think somthing waterproof would be better. yours truly, frosty

A thin rubber strip. It is called anti-squeak and is listed in the ORD 9 SNL G-758 M38A1 parts manual where the lengths are also given. Any 1.8" thich by 1/2" to 1" wide rubber stripping will do.
