I followed the TM and removed all my tie rods and disconnected the drag link from bell crank.
I removed the bolt circled in red but the bell crank doesn't drop down. Do I need to unscrew the large bolt at the bottom of the bell crank? I tried turning it but it doesn't feel like its loosing or tightening.
Yes, indeed..........that large hex headed bolt (pin) you're turning on has a kinda flat self locking nut on the topside of the cross member mounting bracket......and it is a bit tough to get to if your jeep is like mine and the radiator has kinda drooped. I ended up removing my radiator just to make access easier. Once its out of the way the nut is readily accessible especially if you want to clean up the bolt mounting bracket prior to reinstallation. Inside the bellcrank you'll find all kinds of neat things like seals and spacers and bearings and you'll defintiely want to get them all in-place without a lot of junk falling into the bellcrank during installation. Good luck!!
