brake question

Post by idiocrates »

I'm rebuilding the brakes on the rear axle of this m38a-1 (while waiting for my new ring and pinion). All four shoes have glued on pads. Two are Bendix, two are Amico Canadian but all four appear to be correct for this jeep. While removing the old pads from the old shoes I found that one of the four shoes is not drilled with the holes for the rivets that hold on the new pads. I've never run into this before......is it possible to get some kind of glue to adhere the pad to this shoe or should I try to drill it and attach the pads with rivets like the other three? Thanks.
Jim
