Shock absorbers
I was wondering about the price of shock absorbers (Monroe gas shocks)from NAPA for $13.50. Anyone know if the one NAPA sells would be good to put on the M38. I don't know if the jeep is suppose to have heavy duty shocks or what. Maybe the more expensive shocks I have seen in our hobbies vendors price list are better or heavy duty. What kind of shocks do you guys use? I don't plan on doing any hill jumping or rough driving.

I had to get shocks from NAPA as the supposed-to-be repro ones did not extend far enough as my jeep has (I think) 2inch higher lift springs.
The NAPA shocks will do just fine. You can just measure the distance between the two mounting points, and tell the NAPA guy. He should be able to find something to fit. The last thing you want is for the jeep to compress too much or extend to much, which would at least damage / most likely destroy the shocks.
