M38 Windshield
Hey guys, I ma almost done with my m38 resto and i need to have a windhsield cut. The guys at the shop say they can't get a template off of the windshield frame. Does anyone have a template or a windshield for sale? Any info would be of great use right now. Thank You

Windshield glass
Did your frame still have the old glass in it when you carried it to the shop ? I will be needing some new glass also. I hope I don't have a problem getting new glass. Thanks, Stick
The glass shops with the smart guys know how to transfer opening dimensions minus gasket thickness to a sheet of glass and cut it to fit. You either got the dummy in the shop or just the wrong guy in the shop. If they still can't figure it out try a different shop.

I "stole" my windshield. A car restorer freind turned me on to a local one man mobile glass shop. For $100.00 he cut, fit and supplied both glass and weatherstrip. He even picked it up and delivered the finished product to my shop. This is probably the cheapest thing I'll ever get for my M38.It pays to call around the "big" shops were all quoting me around $250.00.
