Solex Carburetor

Post by Sadler5 »

I need some information on my L-134 which has a Solex (I know - bummer). It runs smooth although has some hesitation sometimes in acceleration. Like a pump needed replacing although It was replaced. The motor seems very doggy. The motor was overhauled and brought to factory specs. My question is; Does anyone have any suggestions on the Solex and the main jet that it should have. I believe this engine should have just a little more "get up and go" and everything sure acts like this carb is lean. Like I said it starts perfect and runs smooth - just doggy.
Thanks,

I used these sources. Helped quite a bit.

My favorite:

I finally went with the factory Carter and have been very satisfied.
