What is the differance between ORD 7 SNL G740 and the ORD 9 SNL G740?

ORD 9 illustrates and list all assemblies used in the jeep and is the book used by the motor pool and depot maintenance facilities who have the authority to acquire most of those parts.

ORD 8 Lists parts approved for procurement and stock levels at the Field and Depot maintenance levels

ORD 7 only lists parts approved for procurement and stock levels at the using organization's level of maintenance.

In the newer Tech Manual system the -20P replaces the ORD 7 and the -34 or -34P replaces the ORD 9 & 8.

The nice thing about the ORD 7 & 8's is their tool listings, repair kit listings and general hardware/consumables listings. Very little of these listings appear in the ORD 9.
