M38 Door safety straps

Post by restoreman »

My M38 does not have the safety door straps. Does anyone have some pics on how I need to install them. Thanks for any help. Gene

You might scan thru the photo gallery to check vehicles. I don't believe the M38 normally had straps though. But who says you can't put some on.

Most didn't but occasionally you see a few with very ancient ring bolts in the front of the door sill. They went in the same way the WWII jeeps had them installed.

I don't particularly care for them. They get tossed around, left loose, chip up the paint job and get tripped over a lot. I've always felt that if you don't want to fall out of the jeep install seat belts.
