m38 vacuum wiper

How do you remove the wiper motor from the windshield? I have removed the two screws that hold the motor to the windshield, but I do not understand how to remove the end of the shaft that holds the wiper arm so that it will pass through the hole in the windshield. Many Thanks.

If I recall correctly there are two screws outboard on each side of the center shaft and a nut on the center shaft itself.
