Body question

What does the welting (or whatever its called) look like that ran over the top of the grill to cushion the hood.......and how was it attached? I found just a bunch of holes with taper head screws and nuts along this area and no welting remaining. Also......what does the "anti-squeek" look like that goes between the tub and the fenders. And finally......was there any kind of welting along the sides of the hood where it rests on the fenders....or rubber bumpers on the bottom edge of the hood? Thanks.
