Working Jeeps
The Experimental Aviation Association - Warbirds of America uses a variety of military jeeps for support roles during EAA's AirVenture (last week of July). Aircraft Judges, pilot transport, emergency vehicles, plane escort, security - they get well used. The fellow driving the Navy M38 told me he used it to yank a very large motorhome out of the mud. I've often asked if I can raise the hood to check things for my restoration, they are always happy to oblige. Its always nice to see the jeeps next to historic planes, still working together after 60 years. Thought you might like so see a few pics.
