Has anyone had to replace the rear shock mounting bolt / pin? What did you do to replace it?
I was thinking of using just a regular bolt with a shank on it but as I remember the nut to hold the shock on the pin snugs down on the shoulder of the pin.
Where the shock was covering the pin it looks like new but the rest of the pin that goes though the bracket is just about rusted through.
Thanks, Alan

Alan,
I replaced both rear pins as they were loose and worn.
I took a grade 8, 5/8 bolt and chucked it up in a metal lathe to remove the head, trim to the proper size and then form the shoulder and threads.
It is not hard to do, so if you know a machinist in the area, it takes about 5 minutes to do.
