engine lifting bracket-cylinder head bolts/studs

Post by smokey1 »

Does anyone have a direct source to purchase the proper length cylinder head studs or bolts for use with F-engine lifting bracket? I purchased a OEM lifting bracket, but cannot seem to find the correct head bolts or studs.

The two bolts you seek are:
WO# 806206, ORD# 8329678
Screw, hex-head, 7/16-14NC-3x4 5/8"
No washer is used under the bolt heads on the lift bracket. The other 11 bolts get washers.

I had the same problem. I got some longer bolts and my friend the machinist cut them to length and added threads to match the others. I haven't tried them yet but they should work. He also made new dogs on my steering pitman arm shaft.

Keith,

Thank you for the contact. He has them for a M38 , but not for M38A1. I'll check back with him in 6-8weeks when he might have more in stock for an A1 application.

Wow, I did not realize that getting these specific bolts was such as pain.

Good news is he does stock a lot of other parts that I'll need anyway.
