Approximate M38A1 production date for # 57148 ?

In looking in the downloads section it seems that it should be very close to September 1953. Check it out under vehicle serial number data bases on this sight.

It could be late Aug or early Sep 53.

Appears the VIN is actually 85843 and the "57148" is the Kaiser model number after Kaiser took over from Willys in 1957. Both numbers appear on the pass side fender plate with 57148 on the left then 85843 to the right of it. Missing the dash plate.
So I searched the data base to locate 85843 and not really coming up with anything. Would appear to be post '57?

Looks more like May 55 in my data base. Last May 55 number I have is 85428 and 1956 is NEKAF production for the Dutch. First 57 number I have is 86809.

Fill out the M38A1 survey form I sent you and email it back. If you can come up with drivetrain part date codes and electrical accessories serial numbers we can confirm the date of delivery.
