Are the factory M38 springs the same as the early factory M38A1 springs?

The center of the front spring is reversed due to the shackle/pivot reversal and the spring rates are entirely different. The A1 is a bit heavier than the M38 and it uses several more leaves in each stack. It also uses 6 rebound clips where the M38 uses only 4. Each leaf differs in spring rate from the other model jeep.
