M38/m38A1 springs

Post by shack »

Hey Ya'll
Are the factory M38 springs the same as the early factory M38A1 springs?

Thanks, Joel

Wesk,
Thanks for the reply. I hope it wasn't a stupid question. If you don't mind, what is the difference?

The center of the front spring is reversed due to the shackle/pivot reversal and the spring rates are entirely different. The A1 is a bit heavier than the M38 and it uses several more leaves in each stack. It also uses 6 rebound clips where the M38 uses only 4. Each leaf differs in spring rate from the other model jeep.
