Pintle Hook

I went by the local 4X4 place and he had a new MDJuan / Omix-Aida catalog. In the M38 / M38A1 section he had a ‘NEW’ beside a Pintle Hook.

Now this picture looked different than most of the other Pintle Hooks I have seen. I just wondered if there was an early and late version?

Could someone post a couple of pictures to show any differences?

I am not an expert, but I don't think there was a difference in M38 pintle hooks.

I'll dig up some photos.
