Ramsey Winches

Is there anyone selling Ramsey winch parts,new, used or reproduction?
I may start picking up some parts for my canadian m-38!

The Ramsey 50 and 50R winches and their special 105 PTO were produced in small numbers. Much like Edsel spare parts. Very few M38's and A1's came with them. Few like less then 1 % of US production M38's and A1's. They were more plentiful on the CDN's which may help you but no matter where you are they are treated like gold bullion. There is only one major parts supplier and they are in Europe and prices are commensurate with the Gold Bullion rates. The winch assemblies show up maybe one every 3 months or so and sell anywhere from $1500 to $5000. Most are sold as is and most of the sellers in the past have not been willing to open them up for condition inspection. The really hard parts to find are the bearing support and the drive shaft parts.

Take advantage of the search function here and on the G503 page and you'll find tins of info on these winches.

Thanks Wes, For some reason i thought i came across a vendor that sells parts but i have been knowen to be wrong several times a day according to the wife.
I got a reproduction wench frame this weekend and was looking to slowly mock it up.

I found my ramsey 50 mounted to a cj5 on craigslist so keep your eye out you dont know where they will turn up. I have been lucky so far with finding my parts. The only repop parts I am using is the splined u-joint, the long drive shaft, and the winch mount itself. I still need to find the lock for the pto handle.
