M38A1 fuel pump spacer

Post by Custer »

I bought an after market fuel pump with vacum (Omix-Ada 17709.03) for my M38A1, do I need a spacer between the pump and block? Seems like the actuator arm may ride up to far without it.

How does the length and angle of your new pump actuating lever compare to the old pump?

The same but the old pump was not factory, unhooked and not used.
The pump will not sit properly right now, it appears it need to be out further to fit in the groove on the left side of the engine. Looks like from what I've read it does need one.
Thanks
