M38 front bumper

The front bumper on my '51 usaf M38 is painted completely white, on top of a black base coat (chassis black?). I've seen photos of jeeps with the edges of the bumpers painted white, but never the complete bumper. Anybody know if this was this common practice on air force M38's?

On the inside the bumper wood filler is blue over a base coat of OD.

Probably a Law Enforcement or Security Police VIP jeep. If there is nothing but black beneath the white then the bumper was probably a replacement.

Do you have a photo of the bumper?
