Fuel Pump Replacement

Post by lake »

I have new single action(no vacuum) Airtex fuel pump to replace the old orginal one on my 1953 m38a1. The question I have is do I need to use the 1/2 inch spacer off the orginal fuelpump with air ,or can I just put the new Airtex one on.The new one looks like it will work without the spacer, but I think I need the experts advice. thanks Lake

No, the spacer is for the military pump.
