Is it hard to find a winch for my M38. Also besides ebay how do i find one for sale. And is it the ramsey?

The correct military Ramsey model 50 or 50R winch with the correct matching 105 PTO and the hard to find drive shaft with the correct bearing support will in restorable condition sell for over $2500. This PTO and driveshaft do not interfere with the stock M38 exhaust. But you only see one or two for sale a year.
The Ramsey 200 and the Koenig 100 series winches and their associated PTO's will cost between $1000 and $2500.
There are modern mechanical and hydraulic driven winches out there that will fit. There are also several 24 volt electric winch choices.
