fire extinguisher

Post by flightmap »

Does anyone have a picture of a carbon tetrachloride fire extinguisher mounted on an M38? I have seen mounts under the dash, and in front of the passenger seat. Need some pictures of the bracket and the feet if possible.

Thanks

The mounts in front of the passenger seat is for the decon NBC bottle not a fire extinguisher. Mine was under the right side of the dash mounted like a mb or gpw or m37.

I've seen the extinguisher also mounted on the driver's side of the toolbox. Like this:

Not the best photo I know, but you can probably just make out the extinguisher at the bottom. There is a bigger version of this in Ryan Miller's excellent M38 reference guide (the bit showing the radio wiring through the toolbox). I would have expected the mount to bolt straight on (much like on the MB & GPW).
