Hello
I need to install front turn lights and initially I was thinking to put them as the Canadian M38a1's but as I tried it I did not like it
DO you have any other suggestions or ideas for alternative locations??
thanks
John

The question I am wondering is about the alternative locations that I have for the front signal lights
Another opinion is to put them under the bumper
What do you think?

I had them on the fender also, but removed them. I will install them under the fenders, close to the inner fenders on a handmade bracket fastened under the front bolt. I can get an exception on the signal lights and even brake lights from the govt. vehicle inspectors, but that would be a poor idea with all the crazies running around here.

My opinion is you use the original in the grill marker lamps by replacing the single contact lamp sockets with dual contact lamp sockets and use dual filament lamps giving you a parking lamp function and a brighter turn lamp function without buggering up the stock front appearance by plastering extra lights all over the old girl. Install your new amber lens and re-connect the BO marker wire #20 at the main light switch plug before the dual connection to #24 to the service tail lamp wire.

Then you will need to disassemble the front marker lamps and remove the lamp assembly. Then locate a replacement dual filament socket that can be adapted to the bracket. Then run a new pair of wires through the rubber grommet and connect them to either wire #20 for the dim side of the new lamp and wire's 22-460 / 22-461 as appropriate rt/lt with the bright side of the lamp's wire.

aww, gee, Wes...are you saying that I buggered up the look of my M38CDN by adding turn sigs. on the front fenders?...when I replaced the right rear lamp to the same one as on the left, I also added a blackout brake lamp above the right hand lamp...have a look at my album...CAPTW...W
