PTO Hanger bearing

Post by flightmap »

Has anyone attempted (successful or not) making a hanger bearing (part # WO 118272) for the bellhousing on an M38? If so, would you be willing to share your experiences? If it worked for you, could you explain the parts you used, and the way you finished the product?

hi flightmap, you ever get lucky on the hangar bearing details? I 'm curious to fab one as well. I will inquire with some people I know to see if they are willing to share that info or borrow one to scan and record specs. tom

Joe Hall of Vintage Wiring of Main had nearly exact replicas of this hanger bearing re-manufactured several years ago. I don't know if he has any left...I think most were pre-sold before they were even manufactured.

No luck to date. I am contacting several bearing houses with the ORD numbers to see if there is any crossover.
