Is your transfer case lever pin a straight pin or a bolt with threads and a grease fitting in it's head?
Does your shift tower on the tranny have a rubber boot built right into it?

The transfer case lever pin is a bolt with treads and grease fitting. There isn't any evidence of rubber on the tranny shift tower. When I acquired it, the tranny shift tower had the original type rubber boot, however it was old and torn.
