Heat shield should be here tomorow. Replacing the head pipe and intermeadiat pipe too. they needed to be replaced and if i ordered them the shipping was free from Walcks.

New exhust pipes are in. Fit perfict, even into my militarized civi muffler. My 38 had a new muffler and I miged a military flange on it. How does the heat shield fit. Tapered end to the front or back. I never had one so I am not sure. Not to bad, ordered Monday installed by wednesday.

Careful. This photo from that link is correct.

The two photos further down the page are incorrect. The original tie plate for the master cylinder to the cross shaft must be flat against the master cylinder and the heat shield bracket goes on last closer to the engine.

Finally instaled heat shield and brake lights work fine. No brake drag either.
