Has anyone had this problem with there m38?
If so what is causing this situation. I believe it might be the fuel pump diaphragm or the gas cap pressure valve. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Any reputable rebuilder will apply all applicable service bulletins to a rebuild. With that said no one can speak for every pump. Each pump has to be checked to see if they have the bulletins complied with. None of us want to tear a fresh pump down just to see if the rebuilder did his job. So the only way to be reasonably sure is to ask the vendor and /or the rebuilder for each pump.

Well I received my fuel pump back from then & now. looks great. After installing it it won't pump
I'am sure its my fault for not installing it correctly. Probable the rocker arm is not on the cam. My question is to find tdc on number one cylinder. Does it make a difference if number one is at compression or exaust for the cam to line up correctly??? Also I'm assuming number one is the cylinder closest to the radiator, is that correct?
Thanks for your help
