Looks like I need the 5/8" O.D. tube, part of WO-801312:
LINE, crankcase ventilation, assy
Composed of:
2 NUT 1 TUBE, S, seamless, pltd, N OD, 0.030 thkn of wall
(use 8-1/2 in TUBING 44-T-5080-20)
The tube from the engine to the fording valve snapped in half yesterday. I can't seem to find the same size at NAPA. Suggestions? What other size will work? I have a flaring kit so can take the existing nuts on the ends and fit them onto the new tube.
Thanks.

Are you certain it's 5/8" tube. I think mine is 3/8" tube. You can make one yourself.

I doubled checked and it is 5/16". I don't know if that is correct, but it is what was on the engine when I took ownership.
It is steel tubing. If copper is all I had to make one then I wouldn't be afraid to use it. That's me!
I didn't look up the specs on the the size when I was restoring.
Maybe someone else will give a reply and opinion on this subject.

Factory original was 5/8" steel tubing.2 NUT 1 TUBE, S, seamless, pltd, N OD, 0.030 thkn of wall
(use 8-1/2 in TUBING 44-T-5080-20)
The 44-T-5080-20 is 5/16" copper
A field repaired M38 would have the copper.
