fan blade color

ive got an 53 m38a1, whats the correct color for the fan blade?. i've look at all the pics and what everyone has posted. but cannot find the correct color. im guessing od but i would like to be sure. thxs

I could find no definite info on the correct color, but my personal preference would be black, rather than OD. Most bolt-on parts seemed to be black (generator, valve cover etc). This is what it would look like black (thanks to Wes for the picture!). It's an M38 motor, but you get the general idea:

Of course, OD would go well with the fan shroud. But it's your jeep, so you'll have to live with whatever color you choose.......

The color difference makes it stand out better when the engine is running and you have your hands in there working on something.

So far no one has come forward with any verifiable evidence which is correct. NOS in the box fan colors bear no value on what color the jeep left Willys with on the fan. I prefer black as I stated above.
